Staff
We have 5 fully qualified members of staff plus extra support when required from committee members who have the clearance from the necessary authorities to work in our setting.
All the staff are qualified and experienced in childcare and early years education. Their experience starts at home as they all have children of their own.
All members of staff are continually updating their qualifications in all areas by attending regular training courses and seminars, which allows the Pre-School to keep up to date and on top of children's requirements.
Mandatory courses are:
- safeguarding children;
- first aid;
- food hygiene;
- health and safety; and
- special educational needs.

Parent Rota
At West Hallam Village Pre-School we operate a parent rota system, and would like to ask all parents to assist whenever possible.
The role of a parent rota is to assist the Pre-School staff as much as possible this will include tidying up throughout the session, washing up and helping setting up and putting away the equipment, all of which are very important in the successful running of the Pre-School.
The staff very much appreciates the help and support from parents.
