As a registered charity, we need to have a committee. All committee members are trustees of the Pre-School and are entrusted with the overall responsibility for ensuring that the group runs successfully in accordance with its aims (policies).

The committee has to have three members elected as Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer and at least four other members. The duties of the main officers are made easier by having the support of other committee members who can take on some of their responsibilities. All committee members have the right to vote on any key issues concerning the Pre-School.

As a parent you are automatically a member of the Pre-School group. Becoming a committee member is your chance to take part in the operation of the Pre-School and participate in making the decisions on how the Pre-School is run.

A committee meeting is held once a month and regular social events are organised.
